The first point that stuck it to me was how the relation of objects or things come to play when creating a metaphor. As he said “You’re suggesting that one thing belongs to another”. This i find  interesting because so many combinations of things could be had. And so many different meanings to those different combinations. It’s cool to think that one metaphor can mean something different to every single person. It could have a super deep meaning or it could be as simple as a description of something. I find it fascinating how we can take two words compare them or make them seem as though they belong together and have totally different concepts of the idea. He explains in his writing how there are different ways of construction the metaphor. And different systems or approaches he then takes to create it. I never would have thought so hard about this topic of metaphor and how it relates to pretty much everything and how it can change and have so many perceptions. It’s crazy to think of something so simple we use everyday can be interpreted as something so real and deep. And carry so much thought and meaning.
